According to EN ISO 14683 and EN ISO 10993
Abich can test masks for biomedical use, according to EN ISO 14683 and EN ISO 10993, using the following assays:
– Determination of bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE)
– Resistance to breathing (Delta P)
– Bioburden (microbiological cleaniness of the mask)
– Biocompatibility (cytotoxicity, skin irritation and sensitization or bibliographic evaluation).
Abich team, thanks to its expertise in microbiology, physics, toxicology and electronics, has internally implemented the test to evaluate the filtration efficiency of medical masks, helping textile and biomedical companies to quikly bring to the market compliant and safe products to protect our practitioners and paramedics.
Our cell biology and molecular allergology team is also able to carry out biocompatibility tests according to UNI EN ISO 10993 with rapid preliminary tests that allow you to evaluate the risk of allergies and irritations on human cells. We know that medical and paramedical staff must wear these devices for many hours a day, often sweating and in conditions of great stress. Thus, aside protecting against biological agents, the masks must not release substances that can give adverse effects on the skin.
